From AFP: “The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is likely to approve North Korea’s country domain ‘.kp’ at a meeting in Los Angeles starting in October, board member Suh Jae-Chul said.” This has the potential to affect dozens in North Korea!

Korean Unification Studies and 미국 인 in 한국 (American in Korea) are both self-expalnatory, and Mong Dori, “We are a community and private job posting site for foreigners living in South Korea,” which has a lot of interesting Korea-related videos posted.
From the AP: “Shipping the thousands of strays to Korea, where dog meat is widely consumed in soup, was one of the more outlandish ideas proposed at a city council meeting to deal with the problem [of strays in New Delhi].” If North Korea was meant, the food could probably be used. H/t Bodhi.
A reader sends this story about a group of 96 refugees stranded at sea for three days while fleeing communist Vietnam in 1985, and about to be overcome by a storm in the Pacific, rescued by the captain of a South Korean fishing boat against company orders. Read the rest here. (h/t Julie)

LOL, now the KFA can move te pro-DPRK site to the .kp domain. That guy is a real douchebag. Sorry for the rough language, but there is no other word for it…
And the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) can move from their Japanese domain (servers probalby would still be located there).
The KFA guy is a nutjob, complete with his own custom made KPA uniform.
It would be kind of funny to register a .kp domain like the ironic google.kp with no serach feild…
